Anne,
That is helpful for all of us, "I put down what I was doing and came before the Lord." How much do we continue to suffer with our emotions, worries, and fears because we don't just stop and go to God about it?

My take away this week is from Keller’s sermon and how our suffering is the path to the most precious things in life, God’s presence, His glory and His resurrection. Someone mentioned how the resurrection is not just for our physical death but for every thing that goes wrong in life. I think it is how He redeems all the bad things and uses them for good.

I agree that it was a good thing to be able to see Dee as she spoke on lament. I needed to hear that message today because I have again been under attack. I worried about my family’s distance from God and even began to wonder if it was my punishment. It got to the point where my physical alarm was going off (my stomach). I put down what I was doing and came before the Lord. He said one sentence to me. “Is your life really so bad?” It was like a reset button for me. Of course it isn’t bad. I have many wonderful blessings. I am embarrassed to even share this but I think it is so helpful to see how the enemy works. It was a lament that went on for most of the day in my mind but when I brought it to the Lord, He spoke to me

I am planning to watch Luther tonight.

I finished the movie. I loved when Luther told the children the story of the prodigal son's father running to him. How fitting as we just studied that story.
I guess it has been a long time since I studied the Reformation. I am so thankful how God preserves truth down through the ages. Here is a link...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzFc7ilM7nw&feature=related

I wondered about the "Carla Faye" reference at the end of the video also....wasn't she in prison in Texas? I lived in Dallas for 25 years before I moved to NH (8 years ago). Why is she referenced at the end of the video?

oopps sorry Dee! I just listened to the ones on the Lament and i really love the pictures that you give in their it just makes it look "real" to me. Also what you said about putting our trust in something other than Jesus, like our friends, you said even our friends fail us. I have put alot of trust in my friends in the past and have been hurt because they do fail me. It was a good reminder for me that Jesus is the clay he is our rock, and we need to go to him.
